{"source":"tc","country":"ca","campaign":"2016103","date":"2016-03-02","owner_notified":null,"manufacturer":null,"component":"Airbag","summary":"On certain vehicles, the passenger (frontal) airbag inflator could produce excessive internal pressure during airbag deployment. Increased pressure may cause the inflator to rupture, which could allow fragments to be propelled toward vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury. This could also damage the airbag module, which could prevent proper deployment. Failure of the passenger airbag to fully deploy during a crash (where deployment is warranted) could increase the risk of personal injury to the seat occupant. Note: This recall supersedes recalls 2013113, 2014224, 2015197 and 2015269.  Correction: All vehicles having not received a replacement inflator as part of the previous recall will now have a replacement inflator installed by dealers. For Matrix model vehicles, dealers may replace the front passenger airbag assembly with one equipped with a newly specified inflator.","consequence":null,"remedy":null,"notes":null,"mfr_campaign":"SRC241 & SRC242","part_number":null,"units":400124,"completion":null,"do_not_drive":null,"park_outside":null,"notification":"Safety Mfr","french":{"component":"Coussin gonflable","notification":"Sécurité - fabricant","summary":"Sur certains véhicules, le générateur de gaz du coussin gonflable (avant) du côté passager pourrait produire une pression interne excessive pendant le déploiement du coussin. Une pression accrue pourrait causer la rupture du générateur de gaz et ainsi causer la propulsion de fragments vers les occupants du véhicule, ce qui augmenterait les risques de blessures. Cela pourrait également endommager le module du coussin gonflable, ce qui pourrait empêcher le déploiement adéquat du coussin gonflable. Si celui-ci ne se déploie pas entièrement lors d'une collision (lors de laquelle le déploiement du coussin gonflable est nécessaire), cela pourrait augmenter les risques de blessures pour l'occupant du siège. Remarque : Le présent rappel remplace les rappels 2013113, 2014224, 2015197 et 2015269. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront installer un nouveau générateur de gaz dans tous les véhicules dans lesquels on n'a pas installé de nouveau générateur de gaz dans le cadre du rappel précédent. Pour les véhicules de modèle Matrix, les concessionnaires pourront remplacer le coussin gonflable (avant) du côté passager par un coussin gonflable muni d'un générateur de gaz nouvellement spécifié."},"vehicles":[{"year":2002,"make":"LEXUS","model":"SC 430","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2003,"make":"LEXUS","model":"SC 430","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2004,"make":"LEXUS","model":"SC 430","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2005,"make":"LEXUS","model":"SC 430","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2006,"make":"LEXUS","model":"SC 430","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2007,"make":"LEXUS","model":"SC 430","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2008,"make":"LEXUS","model":"SC 430","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2009,"make":"LEXUS","model":"SC 430","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2010,"make":"LEXUS","model":"SC 430","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2003,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"COROLLA","vehicle_id":"2003_toyota_corolla","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2004,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"COROLLA","vehicle_id":"2004_toyota_corolla","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2005,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"COROLLA","vehicle_id":"2005_toyota_corolla","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2006,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"COROLLA","vehicle_id":"2006_toyota_corolla","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2007,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"COROLLA","vehicle_id":"2007_toyota_corolla","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2008,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"COROLLA","vehicle_id":"2008_toyota_corolla","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2003,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"MATRIX","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2004,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"MATRIX","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2005,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"MATRIX","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2006,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"MATRIX","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2007,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"MATRIX","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2008,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"MATRIX","vehicle_id":null,"match":null,"built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2002,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"SEQUOIA","vehicle_id":"2002_toyota_sequoia","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2003,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"SEQUOIA","vehicle_id":"2003_toyota_sequoia","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2004,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"SEQUOIA","vehicle_id":"2004_toyota_sequoia","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2005,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"SEQUOIA","vehicle_id":"2005_toyota_sequoia","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2006,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"SEQUOIA","vehicle_id":"2006_toyota_sequoia","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2007,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"SEQUOIA","vehicle_id":"2007_toyota_sequoia","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2003,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"TUNDRA","vehicle_id":"2003_toyota_tundra","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2004,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"TUNDRA","vehicle_id":"2004_toyota_tundra","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2005,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"TUNDRA","vehicle_id":"2005_toyota_tundra","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null},{"year":2006,"make":"TOYOTA","model":"TUNDRA","vehicle_id":"2006_toyota_tundra","match":"exact","built_from":null,"built_to":null}],"may_apply":true,"as_of":"2026-10-19","lookup":{"nhtsa":"https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls","tc":"https://wwwapps.tc.gc.ca/Saf-Sec-Sur/7/VRDB-BDRV/search-recherche/menu.aspx?lang=eng","maker":null},"attribution":["Contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence – Canada."],"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/recalls/tc/2016103"}
