The bolts and brackets connecting the hardware to the electronic parking brake system may come loose, causing the parking brake to fail.","consequence":"Electronic parking brake failure can result in a rollaway if the vehicle is not in park with the manual park brake engaged, increasing the risk of a crash.","remedy":"Dealers will replace the affected hardware and update the vehicle software, free of charge.  Owner notification letters were mailed January 8, 2024.  Owners may contact Xos customer service at 1-818-316-1890.
