Rotation of the steering wheel will not automatically cancel the turn-signals from flashing.  As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, \"Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment.\"","consequence":"If the turn-signals do not automatically deactivate, the driver may fail to turn them off manually.  An erroneous active turn-signal may mislead pedestrians and other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.","remedy":"GM has notified owners, and dealers will replace the turn-signal switch.
