To aid in the manual adjustment of the outboard second-row seatback in the subject vehicles, the seats are equipped with recliner springs that work in conjunction with a user-controlled seatback angle lever or walk-in lever. This seatback motion is controlled by the user to achieve their desired seat position. To improve usability, Kia has developed a newly designed second-row seatback recliner spring that will dampen the motion of the manual second-row seatback angle adjustment. (Note: Only the second-row outboard seats are affected. The second-row center seat, if equipped, is excluded from this campaign.)","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2026/MC-11033919-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2026/MC-11033919-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/11033919","components":[{"id":"seats","name":"Seats","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"KIA","model":"CARNIVAL","year_from":2022,"year_to":2026,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2022_kia_carnival","2023_kia_carnival","2024_kia_carnival","2025_kia_carnival","2026_kia_carnival"]},{"make":"KIA","model":"CARNIVAL HYBRID","year_from":2025,"year_to":2026,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2025_kia_carnival","2026_kia_carnival"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
