The EF31 electrical connector, located near the top of the driver’s footrest, may become disconnected due to interference from the driver’s foot. If this electrical connector becomes disconnected, the 12V battery may discharge, which can cause the service warning light and/or “check electric vehicle system” message to illuminate. If the vehicle continues to be driven in this condition, the Power Limited (Turtle) warning light may illuminate, and the vehicle may enter Limp Home Mode with speed temporarily limited.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2026/MC-11028513-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2026/MC-11028513-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/11028513","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"KIA","model":"EV9","year_from":2024,"year_to":2026,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2024_kia_ev9","2025_kia_ev9","2026_kia_ev9"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
