In addition to the anti-theft software, we’ve developed a new zinc-reinforced ignition cylinder protector hardware upgrade that can be installed at the ignition cylinder location to provide additional protection against the social media theft method. Because your Hyundai vehicle with the VIN listed above (“Subject Vehicle”) was not factory-equipped with an engine immobilizer and was previously eligible for the software upgrade, you are now eligible until March 31, 2027 to have the ignition cylinder protector installed — if you request it — at no cost to you through an authorized Hyundai dealership.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2025/MC-11026704-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2025/MC-11026704-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/11026704","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"ACCENT","year_from":2018,"year_to":2022,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2018_hyundai_accent","2019_hyundai_accent","2020_hyundai_accent","2021_hyundai_accent","2022_hyundai_accent"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"ELANTRA","year_from":2011,"year_to":2022,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2011_hyundai_elantra","2012_hyundai_elantra","2013_hyundai_elantra","2014_hyundai_elantra","2015_hyundai_elantra","2016_hyundai_elantra","2017_hyundai_elantra","2018_hyundai_elantra","2019_hyundai_elantra","2020_hyundai_elantra","2021_hyundai_elantra","2022_hyundai_elantra"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"ELANTRA GT","year_from":2013,"year_to":2016,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2013_hyundai_elantra","2014_hyundai_elantra","2015_hyundai_elantra","2016_hyundai_elantra"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"ELANTRA GT","year_from":2017,"year_to":2020,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2017_hyundai_elantra-gt","2018_hyundai_elantra-gt","2019_hyundai_elantra-gt","2020_hyundai_elantra-gt"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"GENESIS COUPE","year_from":2013,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_hyundai_genesis-coupe","2014_hyundai_genesis-coupe"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"KONA","year_from":2018,"year_to":2022,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2018_hyundai_kona","2019_hyundai_kona","2020_hyundai_kona","2021_hyundai_kona","2022_hyundai_kona"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"PALISADE","year_from":2020,"year_to":2021,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2020_hyundai_palisade","2021_hyundai_palisade"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"SANTA FE","year_from":2013,"year_to":2022,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_hyundai_santa-fe","2014_hyundai_santa-fe","2015_hyundai_santa-fe","2016_hyundai_santa-fe","2017_hyundai_santa-fe","2018_hyundai_santa-fe","2019_hyundai_santa-fe","2020_hyundai_santa-fe","2021_hyundai_santa-fe","2022_hyundai_santa-fe"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"SANTA FE SPORT","year_from":2013,"year_to":2018,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_hyundai_santa-fe-sport","2014_hyundai_santa-fe-sport","2015_hyundai_santa-fe-sport","2016_hyundai_santa-fe-sport","2017_hyundai_santa-fe-sport","2018_hyundai_santa-fe-sport"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"SANTA FE XL","year_from":2019,"year_to":2019,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2019_hyundai_santa-fe-xl"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"SONATA","year_from":2011,"year_to":2019,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2011_hyundai_sonata","2012_hyundai_sonata","2013_hyundai_sonata","2014_hyundai_sonata","2015_hyundai_sonata","2016_hyundai_sonata","2017_hyundai_sonata","2018_hyundai_sonata","2019_hyundai_sonata"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"TUCSON","year_from":2011,"year_to":2022,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2011_hyundai_tucson","2012_hyundai_tucson","2013_hyundai_tucson","2014_hyundai_tucson","2015_hyundai_tucson","2016_hyundai_tucson","2017_hyundai_tucson","2018_hyundai_tucson","2019_hyundai_tucson","2020_hyundai_tucson","2021_hyundai_tucson","2022_hyundai_tucson"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"VELOSTER","year_from":2012,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_hyundai_veloster","2013_hyundai_veloster","2014_hyundai_veloster","2015_hyundai_veloster","2016_hyundai_veloster","2017_hyundai_veloster"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"VELOSTER","year_from":2019,"year_to":2021,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2019_hyundai_veloster","2020_hyundai_veloster","2021_hyundai_veloster"]},{"make":"HYUNDAI","model":"VENUE","year_from":2020,"year_to":2021,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2020_hyundai_venue","2021_hyundai_venue"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
