Recommended Diagnosis procedure: 1. Confirm if U0101 -Lost Communication with TCM or U0418 -Implausible Data Received From Brake System Control Module are present, if so check the Valve Body CAN Terminals any corrosion. 2. Check the wiring connectors between the ESM and the TCM and check voltage. 3. Check the pin header for the ESM for any bent pins. 4. If wiring and voltage are good and the DTCs (U11E3 - TCM Lost communication with ESM on D-PT CAN & U0103 - Lost communication with Electric Gear Shift Module) are still present, erase them with the scan tool. Reset ECU. 5. if DTCs for loss communication are still active at the ESM and you are still unable to shift then replace the Shifter module.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2025/MC-11024582-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2025/MC-11024582-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/11024582","components":[{"id":"powertrain","name":"Transmission and driveline","parent":null}],"codes":["U0101","U0103","U0402","U0418","U11E3"],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"JEEP","model":"GRAND CHEROKEE","year_from":2023,"year_to":2025,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2023_jeep_grand-cherokee","2024_jeep_grand-cherokee","2025_jeep_grand-cherokee"]},{"make":"JEEP","model":"GRAND CHEROKEE 4XE","year_from":2023,"year_to":2025,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2023_jeep_grand-cherokee","2024_jeep_grand-cherokee","2025_jeep_grand-cherokee"]},{"make":"JEEP","model":"GRAND CHEROKEE L","year_from":2023,"year_to":2025,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2023_jeep_grand-cherokee-l","2024_jeep_grand-cherokee-l","2025_jeep_grand-cherokee-l"]},{"make":"JEEP","model":"GRAND WAGONEER","year_from":2023,"year_to":2025,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2023_jeep_grand-wagoneer","2024_jeep_grand-wagoneer","2025_jeep_grand-wagoneer"]},{"make":"JEEP","model":"WAGONEER","year_from":2023,"year_to":2025,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2023_jeep_wagoneer","2024_jeep_wagoneer","2025_jeep_wagoneer"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
