Fault code P012D12 The pressure sensor upstream of exhaust gas turbocharger has short circuit to positive. There is a short circuit to positive. is stored in the control unit N3/10 N3/10 - engine electronics 'MED41''M264'. Cause In the course of a pre-repair, the lines may be damaged due to the feed line to component part B28/11 pressure sensor downstream of air filter being routed too taut. (see picture 1) Remedy 1. Attach 12 V charger Note: An adequate voltage from the on-board electrical system battery must be guaranteed for the entire duration of the work procedure. Otherwise the control units could be damaged if an undervoltage occurs. Information: Observe the operating instructions of the 12 V charger. Information: Use the 12 V charger to ensure a sufficient voltage (minimum 12.5 V) from the on-board electrical system battery. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Attach diagnostic system Information: Always ensure that XENTRY Diagnosis is updated to the latest version. For further information on \"Retail Data Storage\", see the Service Information bulletin SI00.01-D-0044SG. Information: The operation steps in XENTRY Diagnosis must be complied with precisely at all times. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Carry out quick test and read out fault memory Information: If the above-mentioned fault code (P012D12) is stored in the control unit ME (N3/10) continue with operation step 4. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Check line installation of component part B28/11 pressure sensor downstream of air filter for damage and routing free of tension. Repair defective lines as per XENTRY WIS. Note: Routing of the feed line free of tension must be ensured.
