IMPORTANT: When a Mazda genuine trailer tow hitch is installed on a CX-90 equipped with hands-free liftgate function, the sensing area is reduced due to the mechanical structure of the hitch. The hands-free liftgate’s optimal sensing area below the rear bumper is shown in green boxes in the image below. Since the left side of the hitch has a 7-pin connector socket, the right side is the most ideal for hands-free operation. For safety, be extra careful performing the kicking motion around the hitch.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-11008426-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-11008426-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/11008426","components":[{"id":"structure-body","name":"Body and frame","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"MAZDA","model":"CX-70","year_from":2025,"year_to":2025,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2025_mazda_cx-70"]},{"make":"MAZDA","model":"CX-90","year_from":2024,"year_to":2025,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2024_mazda_cx-90","2025_mazda_cx-90"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
