This buck/jerk sensation is a characteristic of the vehicle and can be compared to a like vehicle that is equipped with a similar powertrain (engine, transmission, and rear end gear ratio) driven in the same manner. A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) will not set because of this condition. If no DTC is set, inform the customer that the vehicle is operating as designed. If a misfire DTC is present, the DTC should be diagnosed first following the correct diagnostic procedure outlined in the Workshop Manual, Section 303-07B.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-11001364-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-11001364-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/11001364","components":[{"id":"powertrain","name":"Transmission and driveline","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"FORD","model":"MUSTANG","year_from":2018,"year_to":2023,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2018_ford_mustang","2019_ford_mustang","2020_ford_mustang","2021_ford_mustang","2022_ford_mustang","2023_ford_mustang"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
