In some cases, a failed/breached primary filter can result in unusually high engine RPMs and high crankcase pressure. However, a failed/breached primary filter may not exhibit any of these symptoms. The immediate fix for this issue is to modify the Pre-Filter by removing the filter media from the base plate, and then reinstalling the modified Pre-Filter base plate.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-11000756-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-11000756-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/11000756","components":[{"id":"engine","name":"Engine","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"PETERBILT","model":"536","year_from":2020,"year_to":2021,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"PETERBILT","model":"536","year_from":2022,"year_to":2025,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2022_peterbilt_536","2023_peterbilt_536","2024_peterbilt_536","2025_peterbilt_536"]},{"make":"PETERBILT","model":"537","year_from":2020,"year_to":2022,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"PETERBILT","model":"537","year_from":2023,"year_to":2025,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2023_peterbilt_537","2024_peterbilt_537","2025_peterbilt_537"]},{"make":"PETERBILT","model":"548","year_from":2020,"year_to":2023,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"PETERBILT","model":"548","year_from":2024,"year_to":2025,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2024_peterbilt_548","2025_peterbilt_548"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
