This fuse powers a 70A relay that is used for the safety systems of the truck and is located on the right rear side of the battery box. Due to the fitment of the battery box lid from the chassis manufacturers, moisture and debris are able to fall through the space between the battery box lid and side of the battery box body. This may lead to corrosion of the fuse and holder, which may result in failure of the fuse, loss of current flow, and ultimately the inability to operate the truck. This quality issue affects Kenworth T380 and Peterbilt 537 chassis on Jarco propane bobtail units produced from January 2023 until January 2024.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-10251343-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-10251343-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10251343","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null},{"id":"equipment","name":"Equipment and accessories","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"KENWORTH","model":"T380","year_from":2024,"year_to":2024,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2024_kenworth_t380"]},{"make":"PETERBILT","model":"537","year_from":2024,"year_to":2024,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2024_peterbilt_537"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
