Customers may describe static heard during a Bluetooth phone call or a door speaker buzz or tick noise with the pulse of the turn signal. This may be due to concerns with the 14401/14A005 wiring harnesses or connector damage. Prior to the replacement of the affected speaker, inspect for incorrect pin fit/crimp, bent pins, broken wire strands, or other damage at inline connectors C202, C2383A, and/or C4240B. These circuits join the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) and audio front control module (ACM) components. If wiring/connector concerns are found, repair per Wiring Diagram Cell 5.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-10249176-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-10249176-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10249176","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"FORD","model":"EXPLORER","year_from":2020,"year_to":2024,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2020_ford_explorer","2021_ford_explorer","2022_ford_explorer","2023_ford_explorer","2024_ford_explorer"]},{"make":"LINCOLN","model":"AVIATOR","year_from":2020,"year_to":2024,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2020_lincoln_aviator","2021_lincoln_aviator","2022_lincoln_aviator","2023_lincoln_aviator","2024_lincoln_aviator"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
