This may be due to the wiring harness or electrical tape contacting the cooling fan. Remove the WACM and inspect for contact between the wiring harness and the WACM cooling fan. Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 414-06. If contact is found, reroute the wiring harness away from the WACM cooling fan to eliminate the noise. Use the Report a Vehicle Concern link at the bottom of OASIS to submit a report with photos attached (if possible) if contact is found between the wiring harness and the fan.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2023/MC-10238280-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2023/MC-10238280-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10238280","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null},{"id":"equipment","name":"Equipment and accessories","parent":null},{"id":"wiring","name":"Wiring and fuses","parent":"electrical"}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"FORD","model":"F-250 SD","year_from":2023,"year_to":2023,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2023_ford_f-250"]},{"make":"FORD","model":"F-350 SD","year_from":2023,"year_to":2023,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2023_ford_f-350"]},{"make":"FORD","model":"F-450 SD","year_from":2023,"year_to":2023,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2023_ford_f-450"]},{"make":"FORD","model":"F-550 SD","year_from":2023,"year_to":2023,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2023_ford_f-550"]},{"make":"FORD","model":"F-600 SD","year_from":2023,"year_to":2023,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2023_ford_f-600"]},{"make":"FORD","model":"F-650 SD","year_from":2023,"year_to":2023,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2023_ford_f-650"]},{"make":"FORD","model":"F-750 SD","year_from":2023,"year_to":2023,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2023_ford_f-750"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
