This may be due to the software in the battery energy control module (BECM). The condition occurs when the vehicle is started when the charging cord is connected. To prevent the condition from occurring, disconnect the charger prior to starting the vehicle. If the charger is not disconnected before starting, the ignition will need to be cycled before driving. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in May-2022. No additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time.
