The gear guard camera wiring, contained within the spoiler assembly, may emit an electrical signal noise to the nearby high precision global navigation satellite system (GNSS) antenna which is also contained within the spoiler assembly. The signal noise may result in a loss of the highway assist feature. If the highway assist feature is engaged when this condition occurs, the driver will receive a driver takeover request with a “Highway Ending Soon” message on the driver display. If the driver is attempting to engage highway assist, the “Highway Assist Not Available” notification will appear on the driver display. Rivian will replace the existing spoiler with a spoiler that has improved wiring that will not degrade the GNSS signal.
