Incorrect brake calipers may result in damage to the brake hoses. Customers may notice noise resulting from contact of the brake hose with the wheel weight. If the condition progresses, the brake hose could rub through. To date, we have not identified a rub-through on any vehicle. If a rub-through occurred, the customer would see a malfunction indicator light, and, in very rare circumstances, may experience degradation in braking performance. Rivian will inspect both the left and right front brake calipers. If an incorrect brake caliper is installed, it will be replaced with the correct caliper.
