PCM reprogramming and PMI for these vehicles has been updated in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. Programming no longer attempts to incorrectly program the nitrogen oxides sensor module 12 (NOX12) and should not result in a U029E DTC present. For vehicles that already have a U029E DTC present, NOX12 module replacement is necessary before attempting PCM programming.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10208153-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2022/MC-10208153-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10208153","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null},{"id":"powertrain","name":"Transmission and driveline","parent":null}],"codes":["U029E"],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"FORD","model":"F-250 SD","year_from":2021,"year_to":2021,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2021_ford_f-250"]},{"make":"FORD","model":"F-350 SD","year_from":2021,"year_to":2021,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2021_ford_f-350"]},{"make":"FORD","model":"F-450 SD","year_from":2021,"year_to":2021,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2021_ford_f-450"]},{"make":"FORD","model":"F-550 SD","year_from":2021,"year_to":2021,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2021_ford_f-550"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
