The cause of this condition is a low point in left side tailpipe which results in condensation building up at the low point in the tailpipe. In low temperatures the condensation can freeze and form ice limiting the flow of exhaust out of the left tailpipe. Dealers are to drill a small hole in the left tailpipe to allow condensation to drain.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10190361-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2021/MC-10190361-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10190361","components":[{"id":"engine","name":"Engine","parent":null},{"id":"exhaust-emissions","name":"Exhaust and emissions","parent":null},{"id":"exhaust-pipe","name":"Exhaust manifold, pipes and muffler","parent":"exhaust-emissions"}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"CHEVROLET","model":"SILVERADO 1500","year_from":2019,"year_to":2021,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2019_chevrolet_silverado","2020_chevrolet_silverado","2021_chevrolet_silverado"]},{"make":"GMC","model":"SIERRA 1500","year_from":2019,"year_to":2021,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2019_gmc_sierra","2020_gmc_sierra","2021_gmc_sierra"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
