The condition is most common after the trim panel has been installed during a repair The cause of the condition may be that during a repair, the door pad top trim piece can become unseated when the door pad is pulled off of the clips that secure the door trim panel to the door. Do not replace the door panel for this condition. The gap can be eliminated by firmly pressing down and fully seating the top trim on the door panel.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10190247-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10190247-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10190247","components":[{"id":"structure-body","name":"Body and frame","parent":null},{"id":"equipment","name":"Equipment and accessories","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"CHEVROLET","model":"BOLT EV","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2017_chevrolet_bolt-ev"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
