Note: It is important that both the ECM and TCM are updated to the latest software. Not updating both modules may result in additional undesired vehicle performance. If the ECM and TCM have the latest calibrations, refer to SI for the DTC set or existing condition. Validate the ECM and TCM have the latest software calibration. • If the ECM and TCM are not at the latest calibration, using TIS2Web, select (K20/K71) Engine and Transmission Control Module. ⇒ Both modules must be reprogrammed sequentially to the latest software calibration available. • If the modules have the latest calibrations, refer to SI for the DTC set.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10190233-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10190233-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10190233","components":[{"id":"engine","name":"Engine","parent":null},{"id":"equipment","name":"Equipment and accessories","parent":null},{"id":"powertrain","name":"Transmission and driveline","parent":null},{"id":"automatic-transmission","name":"Automatic transmission","parent":"powertrain"}],"codes":["P0097","P0128","P0181","P0263","P0266","P0269","P0272","P0275","P0278","P0281","P0284","P040C","P040D","P041C","P041D","P0483","P054F","P10D1","P11CC","P22FE","P24B1","P24C7","P2635","P2636","P2BAA"],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"CHEVROLET","model":"SILVERADO 1500","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2017_chevrolet_silverado"]},{"make":"CHEVROLET","model":"SILVERADO 2500","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2017_chevrolet_silverado"]},{"make":"CHEVROLET","model":"SILVERADO 3500","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2017_chevrolet_silverado"]},{"make":"GMC","model":"SIERRA 1500","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2017_gmc_sierra"]},{"make":"GMC","model":"SIERRA 2500","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2017_gmc_sierra"]},{"make":"GMC","model":"SIERRA 3500","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2017_gmc_sierra"]},{"make":"GMC","model":"SIERRA DENALI","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2017_gmc_sierra"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
