If no drivability concerns are present, clear the DTC and retest. If the DTC returns, perform normal diagnostics per the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual. If the DTC does not return, inform the customer that Ford is developing a PCM software fix that is expected in June, 2021. Advise the customer that vehicle durability is not affected by the condition and they can continue to drive the vehicle. Schedule a follow up appointment for repair in June, 2021.
