A 250 amp fuse may have been installed instead of the required 400 amp fuse. This can cause repeated blowing of the fuse and resulting loss of power. Altec has created a service kit to replace the fuse and connecting cable. This will prevent improper blowing of the fuse and ensure that the cable is properly sized.
