On subject vehicles, the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) may illuminate with DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) U02A2 stored in the engine ECU. This may be due to a malfunction of the DEF (Diese Exhaust Fluidf) tank sensor asslembly. Perform the diagnostic prolcedure for DT C U02A2 as outlined by the Workshop Manual (DEF SCR Section for Conventional Vehicles, Engine Troiubleshooting Section for COE Vehicles). If the diagnostic procedure leads to DEF tank sensor replacement, a more robust DEF tank sensor has been made available.
