The SBG feature is used to control accessory power to peripheral devices connected to the vehicle power supply by utilizing the auxiliary fuse panel. For dual-battery equipped vehicles, the SBG can also control accessory power for the Customer Connection Point 2 (CCP2). The SBG feature may timeout prematurely and shut off vehicle accessory power to non-Ford connected peripheral devices at around 15 to 20 minutes rather than the full SBG timeout of 30 minutes on single battery equipped vehicles and 75 minutes on dual-battery equipped vehicles.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10178056-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10178056-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10178056","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"FORD","model":"TRANSIT","year_from":2020,"year_to":2020,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2020_ford_transit"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
