Some New Cascadia vehicles with chassis fairings have remote-fill Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) tanks which have new instructions to replace the remote fill hose and fitting. Proper torque value is critical, as the remote-fill fittings are plastic and can easily crack if overtightened. The gasket on the fill fitting is sensitive to improper installation, and can get pinched, resulting in a DEF leak.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10175414-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10175414-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10175414","components":[{"id":"engine","name":"Engine","parent":null},{"id":"fuel-system","name":"Fuel system","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"FREIGHTLINER","model":"CASCADIA","year_from":2017,"year_to":2021,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2017_freightliner_cascadia","2018_freightliner_cascadia","2019_freightliner_cascadia","2020_freightliner_cascadia","2021_freightliner_cascadia"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
