Prior to following workshop manual (WSM) diagnostics, disconnect the negative battery cable per WSM section 414-01, wait 10 seconds and reconnect. After battery reconnect, cycle the ignition key 3 times and retest for no start, steering lock malfunction message and DTC B1026 in the BCM. If the concern is resolved without DTC returning, no further repairs are necessary and engineering is currently investigating this condition. Continue to monitor OASIS for further details.
