Certain vehicles may have a condition where after multiple start/stop events in a row, an electronically controlled transmission shift to neutral may occur upon a change of mind auto stop/start event. Multiple start/stop events in a row may cause the intake manifold temperature to creep over 40C. Hot intake manifold temperatures and an extremely retarded spark can aggravate a false positive stall condition, resulting in the default shift to neutral remedial action. Dealers will reprogram the ECM.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10171242-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10171242-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10171242","components":[{"id":"engine","name":"Engine","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"CADILLAC","model":"CT6","year_from":2019,"year_to":2019,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2019_cadillac_ct6"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
