When viewing the Quiescient Current Statistics in VIDA, vehicles with a regular FMDM disturbance will often show a number of counts in the 400-800mA range. If a vehicle with the latest software continues to have a low State of Charge and no cause can be found, replace the FMDM. Perform a Total Upgrade according to TJ 31543. The new FMDMs are not compatible with older CEM software.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10167806-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10167806-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10167806","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null},{"id":"battery","name":"12-volt battery","parent":"electrical"},{"id":"software","name":"Software","parent":"electrical"}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"VOLVO","model":"S90","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2017_volvo_s90"]},{"make":"VOLVO","model":"XC90","year_from":2016,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2016_volvo_xc90","2017_volvo_xc90"]},{"make":"VOLVO","model":"XC90H","year_from":2016,"year_to":2017,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2016_volvo_xc90","2017_volvo_xc90"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
