This may be due to some fuel stations using larger than standard filler nozzle sizes. The F-150 fuel tank filler pipe has been designed for use with a standard automotive diesel nozzle which is 23.6 mm (0.929 inch) to 25.5 mm (1.004 inch) in diameter. The fuel filler pipe is not compatible with larger diameter or commercial style fuel filler nozzles used by some fuel stations. Fuel spit back, slow fill, stuck fuel nozzles, or damage resulting from larger diameter fuel nozzles is not a warrantable defect. Do not submit a claim for this condition.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10164498-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10164498-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10164498","components":[{"id":"fuel-system","name":"Fuel system","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"FORD","model":"F-150","year_from":2018,"year_to":2019,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2018_ford_f-150","2019_ford_f-150"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
