The recent new models have been fitted with a clear lens which can cause the symptom to be more noticeable, however, it does not affect the performance of the light. This condensation/fog is a natural phenomenon that occurs when there is a fairly large temperature difference between the inside and the outside of the light housing. It is normal for very small water drops to appear in certain locations on the light units where the air is stagnant (condensation), making the lens look whitish (fog). This happens mostly in the corners and narrow spaces, and will typically clear during warmer ambient temperatures, or when the lights have been on for some time.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10154529-0001.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10154529-9999.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10154529","components":[{"id":"lighting","name":"Lighting","parent":null},{"id":"headlight","name":"Headlights","parent":"lighting"},{"id":"tail-light","name":"Tail lights","parent":"lighting"}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"MAZDA","model":"!MX-5","year_from":2019,"year_to":2019,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2019_mazda_mx-5"]},{"make":"MAZDA","model":"CX-3","year_from":2016,"year_to":2019,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2016_mazda_cx-3","2017_mazda_cx-3","2018_mazda_cx-3","2019_mazda_cx-3"]},{"make":"MAZDA","model":"CX-5","year_from":2013,"year_to":2019,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_mazda_cx-5","2014_mazda_cx-5","2015_mazda_cx-5","2016_mazda_cx-5","2017_mazda_cx-5","2018_mazda_cx-5","2019_mazda_cx-5"]},{"make":"MAZDA","model":"CX-7","year_from":2007,"year_to":2012,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2007_mazda_cx-7","2008_mazda_cx-7","2009_mazda_cx-7","2010_mazda_cx-7","2011_mazda_cx-7","2012_mazda_cx-7"]},{"make":"MAZDA","model":"CX-7","year_from":2013,"year_to":2013,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"MAZDA","model":"CX-9","year_from":2007,"year_to":2019,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2007_mazda_cx-9","2008_mazda_cx-9","2009_mazda_cx-9","2010_mazda_cx-9","2011_mazda_cx-9","2012_mazda_cx-9","2013_mazda_cx-9","2014_mazda_cx-9","2015_mazda_cx-9","2016_mazda_cx-9","2017_mazda_cx-9","2018_mazda_cx-9","2019_mazda_cx-9"]},{"make":"MAZDA","model":"MAZDA2","year_from":2011,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2011_mazda_mazda2","2012_mazda_mazda2","2013_mazda_mazda2","2014_mazda_mazda2"]},{"make":"MAZDA","model":"MAZDA3","year_from":2005,"year_to":2019,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2005_mazda_mazda3","2006_mazda_mazda3","2007_mazda_mazda3","2008_mazda_mazda3","2009_mazda_mazda3","2010_mazda_mazda3","2011_mazda_mazda3","2012_mazda_mazda3","2013_mazda_mazda3","2014_mazda_mazda3","2015_mazda_mazda3","2016_mazda_mazda3","2017_mazda_mazda3","2018_mazda_mazda3","2019_mazda_mazda3"]},{"make":"MAZDA","model":"MAZDA5","year_from":2006,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2006_mazda_mazda5","2007_mazda_mazda5","2008_mazda_mazda5","2009_mazda_mazda5","2010_mazda_mazda5","2011_mazda_mazda5","2012_mazda_mazda5","2013_mazda_mazda5","2014_mazda_mazda5","2015_mazda_mazda5"]},{"make":"MAZDA","model":"MAZDA6","year_from":2005,"year_to":2019,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2005_mazda_mazda6","2006_mazda_mazda6","2007_mazda_mazda6","2008_mazda_mazda6","2009_mazda_mazda6","2010_mazda_mazda6","2011_mazda_mazda6","2012_mazda_mazda6","2013_mazda_mazda6","2014_mazda_mazda6","2015_mazda_mazda6","2016_mazda_mazda6","2017_mazda_mazda6","2018_mazda_mazda6","2019_mazda_mazda6"]},{"make":"MAZDA","model":"MX-5","year_from":2006,"year_to":2018,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2006_mazda_mx-5","2007_mazda_mx-5","2008_mazda_mx-5","2009_mazda_mx-5","2010_mazda_mx-5","2011_mazda_mx-5","2012_mazda_mx-5","2013_mazda_mx-5","2014_mazda_mx-5","2015_mazda_mx-5","2016_mazda_mx-5","2017_mazda_mx-5","2018_mazda_mx-5"]},{"make":"MAZDA","model":"RX-8","year_from":2005,"year_to":2011,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2005_mazda_rx-8","2006_mazda_rx-8","2007_mazda_rx-8","2008_mazda_rx-8","2009_mazda_rx-8","2010_mazda_rx-8","2011_mazda_rx-8"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
