INFORMATION Do not replace parts and do not perform a repair attempt! Explain to the customer that loudspeaker illumination can vary from model to model. For an overview of the illuminated loudspeakers, refer to the attachment. IMPORTANT: The current version of the Owner's Manual for 5 Series vehicles is incorrect. On 5 Series vehicles (F07 and F10), only the main loudspeaker (moving part) in the dashboard and the two loudspeakers in the mirror triangles in the front doors are illuminated. The Owner's Manuals for 5 Series vehicles will be corrected with start of production of the MY2014 vehicles (July 2013). This Service Information will be updated as soon as a solution is available for adjustment of the brightness of the illuminated loudspeakers. A software solution is expected to be available with ISTA/P 2.50.0 in July 2013.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2013/MC-10149456-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2013/MC-10149456-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10149456","components":[{"id":"equipment","name":"Equipment and accessories","parent":null},{"id":"visibility","name":"Glass, wipers and mirrors","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"BMW","model":"1 SERIES M","year_from":2012,"year_to":2013,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"BMW","model":"525D XDRIVE","year_from":2014,"year_to":2014,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"BMW","model":"528I","year_from":2012,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_528i","2013_bmw_528i","2014_bmw_528i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"535D","year_from":2014,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2014_bmw_535d"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"535I","year_from":2012,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_535i","2013_bmw_535i","2014_bmw_535i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"535I GRAN TURISMO","year_from":2012,"year_to":2012,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_535i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"550I","year_from":2012,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_550i","2013_bmw_550i","2014_bmw_550i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"550I GRAN TURISMO","year_from":2012,"year_to":2012,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_550i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"640I","year_from":2012,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_640i","2013_bmw_640i","2014_bmw_640i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"650I","year_from":2012,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_650i","2013_bmw_650i","2014_bmw_650i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"740I","year_from":2012,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_740i","2013_bmw_740i","2014_bmw_740i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"740LI","year_from":2012,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_740li","2013_bmw_740li","2014_bmw_740li"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"750I","year_from":2012,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_750i","2013_bmw_750i","2014_bmw_750i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"750LI","year_from":2012,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_750li","2013_bmw_750li","2014_bmw_750li"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"760LI","year_from":2012,"year_to":2012,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_760li"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"760LI","year_from":2014,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2014_bmw_760li"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"ACTIVE HYBRID 5","year_from":2012,"year_to":2013,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_bmw_activehybrid-5","2013_bmw_activehybrid-5"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"ACTIVE HYBRID 7","year_from":2012,"year_to":2013,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"BMW","model":"ACTIVE HYBRID 7","year_from":2014,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2014_bmw_activehybrid-7"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"F800 R","year_from":2013,"year_to":2013,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_f-800-r"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"M5","year_from":2013,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_m5","2014_bmw_m5"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"M6","year_from":2013,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_m6","2014_bmw_m6"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"R1200 S ADVENTURE","year_from":2014,"year_to":2014,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
