Intermittently the Central Information Display (CID) dims and/or flashes off/on. There are two possible root causes for this issue. Cause 1: Voltage supply error from the Headunit-high (HU-H) to the Central Information Display (CID) when the display brightness is set to 60% or higher Cause 2: Calibration data for dimming the Central Information Display (CID) at high temperatures or bright sunlight is set incorrectly internally in the CID Affected Central Information Displays were manufactured from 02/01/2013 to 06/09/2014. The manufacturing date is included in the serial number printed on the parts label on the CID. IMPORTANT: The manufacturing date is written in the following way: dd mm yy Example: The manufacturing date of August 15, 2013 is printed on the label in the following way: 15 08 13","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2014/MC-10148427-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2014/MC-10148427-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10148427","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null},{"id":"software","name":"Software","parent":"electrical"},{"id":"wiring","name":"Wiring and fuses","parent":"electrical"}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"BMW","model":"525D XDRIVE","year_from":2014,"year_to":2014,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"BMW","model":"528I","year_from":2013,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_528i","2014_bmw_528i","2015_bmw_528i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"535D","year_from":2014,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2014_bmw_535d","2015_bmw_535d"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"535I","year_from":2013,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_535i","2014_bmw_535i","2015_bmw_535i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"550I","year_from":2013,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_550i","2014_bmw_550i","2015_bmw_550i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"640I","year_from":2013,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_640i","2014_bmw_640i","2015_bmw_640i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"650I","year_from":2013,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_650i","2014_bmw_650i","2015_bmw_650i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"740I","year_from":2013,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_740i","2014_bmw_740i","2015_bmw_740i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"740LD","year_from":2015,"year_to":2015,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"BMW","model":"740LI","year_from":2013,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_740li","2014_bmw_740li","2015_bmw_740li"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"750I","year_from":2013,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_750i","2014_bmw_750i","2015_bmw_750i"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"750LI","year_from":2013,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_750li","2014_bmw_750li","2015_bmw_750li"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"760LI","year_from":2014,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2014_bmw_760li","2015_bmw_760li"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"ACTIVE HYBRID 5","year_from":2013,"year_to":2013,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_activehybrid-5"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"ACTIVE HYBRID 7","year_from":2013,"year_to":2013,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"BMW","model":"ACTIVE HYBRID 7","year_from":2014,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2014_bmw_activehybrid-7","2015_bmw_activehybrid-7"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"F800 R","year_from":2013,"year_to":2013,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_f-800-r"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"F800 R","year_from":2015,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2015_bmw_f-800-r"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"M5","year_from":2013,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_m5","2014_bmw_m5","2015_bmw_m5"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"M6","year_from":2013,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_m6","2014_bmw_m6","2015_bmw_m6"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"R 1200 GS","year_from":2013,"year_to":2013,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_bmw_r-1200-gs"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"R NINE T","year_from":2015,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2015_bmw_r-ninet"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"R1200 S ADVENTURE","year_from":2014,"year_to":2015,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
