This is due to an incorrect cam-lobe contour on the clutch lever. For this reason, as of May 2014 the switch had been modified in such a way as to correct the switching point. Subsequently installing a clutch lever with the correct cam-lobe contour on one of these vehicles would change the switching point outside the tolerance window.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2015/MC-10147119-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2015/MC-10147119-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10147119","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null},{"id":"powertrain","name":"Transmission and driveline","parent":null},{"id":"clutch","name":"Clutch","parent":"powertrain"}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"BMW","model":"S 1000 R","year_from":2014,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2014_bmw_s-1000-r"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"S 1000 R","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2017_bmw_s-1000-r"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"S 1000 RR","year_from":2008,"year_to":2013,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2008_bmw_s-1000-rr","2009_bmw_s-1000-rr","2010_bmw_s-1000-rr","2011_bmw_s-1000-rr","2012_bmw_s-1000-rr","2013_bmw_s-1000-rr"]},{"make":"BMW","model":"S 1000 RR","year_from":2015,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2015_bmw_s-1000-rr","2016_bmw_s-1000-rr","2017_bmw_s-1000-rr"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
