Certain 10R5645, 10R5647, 10R5648, 10R5649, and 20R1834 Reman ECU's were assembled with incorrect parts causing calibration failures and/or issues with not retaining parameters which contributes to failures of calibration not completed, ECMs losing information, not retaining parameters, etc. These failures can occur during initial installation of the ECM or after the ECM has operated on engine for a short period of time. This issue can occur once the ECM is installed, programmed and the Engine is checked for proper run out. Once this procedure is complete and the engine is shut down, it will not restart due to engine parameters not being stored.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10144810-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10144810-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10144810","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"CATERPILLAR","model":"CATERPILLAR","year_from":null,"year_to":null,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":[]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
