Consequently, very small quantities of diesel fuel could leak out along the engine wiring harness and, in the most unfavorable case, enter the engine control unit which could lead to malfunctions and possible failure of the exhaust gas cleaning system. In such an instance, the driver would be notified of the situation through activation of the engine indicator lamp in the instrument cluster. A fire hazard or a fuel leak onto the roadway can however be ruled out.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10141832-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10141832-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10141832","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null},{"id":"engine","name":"Engine","parent":null},{"id":"fuel-system","name":"Fuel system","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"MERCEDES-BENZ","model":"SPRINTER 906","year_from":null,"year_to":null,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":[]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
