On affected MX-5 vehicles, if the vehicle is turned off while the Cruise Control is ON, the microcomputer may not go into sleep mode, allowing an electric current to continue to flow. With this condition, if the vehicle is left unused for an extended period of time (Approximately 10+ days), the battery may discharge, resulting in a no start condition. There are 5,125 vehicles in the United States affected by this SSP.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10136764-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10136764-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10136764","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"MAZDA","model":"MX-5","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2017_mazda_mx-5"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
