This concern will only occur when the temperatures is below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and if the blower motor is removed while still cold, ice may be found on the blower motor cage. This concern could be caused by water leaking or snow ingestion into the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning case. Technician is to perform normal water testing diagnostics while the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning is running, looking for water leaking past the plenum cover. If water is leaking past the cover remove the cover and install a 12x12 snow resistant screen to the fresh air intake. Reseal and install the plenum cover cap using Kent air dry sealer or equivalent.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10129064-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10129064-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10129064","components":[{"id":"engine","name":"Engine","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"CHEVROLET","model":"SILVERADO","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2017_chevrolet_silverado"]},{"make":"CHEVROLET","model":"SILVERADO 1500","year_from":2014,"year_to":2014,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2014_chevrolet_silverado"]},{"make":"CHEVROLET","model":"SILVERADO 2500","year_from":2015,"year_to":2016,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2015_chevrolet_silverado","2016_chevrolet_silverado"]},{"make":"CHEVROLET","model":"SILVERADO 2500","year_from":2018,"year_to":2018,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2018_chevrolet_silverado"]},{"make":"CHEVROLET","model":"SUBURBAN","year_from":2015,"year_to":2018,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2015_chevrolet_suburban","2016_chevrolet_suburban","2017_chevrolet_suburban","2018_chevrolet_suburban"]},{"make":"CHEVROLET","model":"TAHOE","year_from":2015,"year_to":2018,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2015_chevrolet_tahoe","2016_chevrolet_tahoe","2017_chevrolet_tahoe","2018_chevrolet_tahoe"]},{"make":"GMC","model":"SIERRA","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2017_gmc_sierra"]},{"make":"GMC","model":"SIERRA 1500","year_from":2014,"year_to":2016,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2014_gmc_sierra","2015_gmc_sierra","2016_gmc_sierra"]},{"make":"GMC","model":"SIERRA 3500","year_from":2018,"year_to":2018,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2018_gmc_sierra"]},{"make":"GMC","model":"YUKON","year_from":2015,"year_to":2018,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2015_gmc_yukon","2016_gmc_yukon","2017_gmc_yukon","2018_gmc_yukon"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
