In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. This document informs of oil consumption tests to check a vehicles performance.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2013/MC-10125726-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2013/MC-10125726-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10125726","components":[{"id":"engine","name":"Engine","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"BEETLE","year_from":2000,"year_to":2010,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2000_volkswagen_beetle","2001_volkswagen_beetle","2002_volkswagen_beetle","2003_volkswagen_beetle","2004_volkswagen_beetle","2005_volkswagen_beetle","2006_volkswagen_beetle","2007_volkswagen_beetle","2008_volkswagen_beetle","2009_volkswagen_beetle","2010_volkswagen_beetle"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"BEETLE","year_from":2011,"year_to":2011,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"BEETLE","year_from":2012,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_volkswagen_beetle","2013_volkswagen_beetle","2014_volkswagen_beetle"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"BEETLE
