As a result, whenever VAS-PC is uninstalled, ODIS Service must be uninstalled first. Updates and support for VAS-PC diagnostic software are scheduled to end August 31, 2013. Reinstallation and use of VAS-PC is discretionary from that date onward. Failure to uninstall ODIS Service prior to VAS-PC removal corrupts the EDIC hardware configuration and prevents ODIS Service from communicating with the vehicle's diagnostic CAN-Bus.
