Central locking via remote control does not work either sporadically or permanently. The locks can still be operated manually. Missing synchronization between the remote control key and vehicle because the battery has been disconnected or the battery of the remote control has been replaced. If other senders operate in the same frequency range (mobile phones, TV stations, wireless headphones, baby monitors, other vehicle remote controls, etc.), the remote control key may have been temporarily switched off because a clear identification of the remote control key is not possible. This is necessary to prevent an unintentional unlocking of the vehicle by other unrelated senders.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2013/MC-10123995-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2013/MC-10123995-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10123995","components":[{"id":"equipment","name":"Equipment and accessories","parent":null},{"id":"latches-locks","name":"Latches and locks","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"AUDI","model":"A3","year_from":2005,"year_to":2005,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"A3","year_from":2006,"year_to":2013,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2006_audi_a3","2007_audi_a3","2008_audi_a3","2009_audi_a3","2010_audi_a3","2011_audi_a3","2012_audi_a3","2013_audi_a3"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"A3","year_from":2014,"year_to":2014,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"A3 CABRIOLET","year_from":2015,"year_to":2015,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"A4","year_from":2000,"year_to":2010,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2000_audi_a4","2001_audi_a4","2002_audi_a4","2003_audi_a4","2004_audi_a4","2005_audi_a4","2006_audi_a4","2007_audi_a4","2008_audi_a4","2009_audi_a4","2010_audi_a4"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"A4 ALLROAD","year_from":2013,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2013_audi_a4-allroad","2014_audi_a4-allroad","2015_audi_a4-allroad"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"A4 AVANT","year_from":2011,"year_to":2012,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"A5","year_from":2008,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2008_audi_a5","2009_audi_a5","2010_audi_a5","2011_audi_a5","2012_audi_a5","2013_audi_a5","2014_audi_a5","2015_audi_a5"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"A5 CABRIOLET","year_from":2010,"year_to":2015,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"A6","year_from":2000,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2000_audi_a6","2001_audi_a6","2002_audi_a6","2003_audi_a6","2004_audi_a6","2005_audi_a6","2006_audi_a6","2007_audi_a6","2008_audi_a6","2009_audi_a6","2010_audi_a6","2011_audi_a6","2012_audi_a6","2013_audi_a6","2014_audi_a6","2015_audi_a6"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"A7","year_from":2012,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_audi_a7","2013_audi_a7","2014_audi_a7","2015_audi_a7"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"A8","year_from":2000,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2000_audi_a8","2001_audi_a8","2002_audi_a8","2003_audi_a8","2004_audi_a8","2005_audi_a8","2006_audi_a8","2007_audi_a8","2008_audi_a8","2009_audi_a8","2010_audi_a8","2011_audi_a8","2012_audi_a8","2013_audi_a8","2014_audi_a8","2015_audi_a8"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"ALLROAD","year_from":2000,"year_to":2000,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"ALLROAD","year_from":2001,"year_to":2005,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2001_audi_allroad","2002_audi_allroad","2003_audi_allroad","2004_audi_allroad","2005_audi_allroad"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"Q5","year_from":2009,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2009_audi_q5","2010_audi_q5","2011_audi_q5","2012_audi_q5","2013_audi_q5","2014_audi_q5","2015_audi_q5"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"Q7","year_from":2007,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2007_audi_q7","2008_audi_q7","2009_audi_q7","2010_audi_q7","2011_audi_q7","2012_audi_q7","2013_audi_q7","2014_audi_q7","2015_audi_q7"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"R8","year_from":2008,"year_to":2010,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2008_audi_r8","2009_audi_r8","2010_audi_r8"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"R8","year_from":2013,"year_to":2013,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"R8 GT SPYDER","year_from":2012,"year_to":2012,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"R8 SPYDER","year_from":2011,"year_to":2011,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"R8 SPYDER","year_from":2014,"year_to":2015,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"TT","year_from":2000,"year_to":2006,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2000_audi_tt","2001_audi_tt","2002_audi_tt","2003_audi_tt","2004_audi_tt","2005_audi_tt","2006_audi_tt"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"TT","year_from":2007,"year_to":2007,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"TT","year_from":2008,"year_to":2010,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2008_audi_tt","2009_audi_tt","2010_audi_tt"]},{"make":"AUDI","model":"TT ROADSTER","year_from":2011,"year_to":2015,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
