The customer may complain of a high-pitched squeal or squeak from the brake system when braking at slow speeds, even though the brake pads and discs still have a significant life left. The noise is caused by the natural frequency of front brake components. Like all high-performance brakes, TT RS brakes are designed for optimum braking performance. High-performance brakes must satisfy a wide range of functional demands, including having good pedal response and a short stopping distance after several repetitive brake applications. It is not possible to entirely eliminate all brake noises under certain unfavorable driving conditions. Brake noise does not have a negative impact on braking performance or wear.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2013/MC-10123989-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2013/MC-10123989-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10123989","components":[{"id":"brakes","name":"Brakes","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"AUDI","model":"TT ROADSTER","year_from":2012,"year_to":2013,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
