At this time, Volkswagen Group of America, Volkswagen Canada do not support or warranty any use of aftermarket universal automatic transmission fluids or the machines used to flush the transmissions. This applies to all standard automatic and DSG transmissions. Due to the functional and design variations in each automatic transmission, the transmission fluid is developed and used by Volkswagen for specific purpose within each application. Under no circumstances are these fluids to be used outside their designated transmission and replacing any of the Volkswagen approved automatic transmission fluids with a universal ?one fluid fits all? approach is not accepted.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10121115-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10121115-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10121115","components":[{"id":"powertrain","name":"Transmission and driveline","parent":null},{"id":"automatic-transmission","name":"Automatic transmission","parent":"powertrain"}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"BEETLE","year_from":2010,"year_to":2010,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2010_volkswagen_beetle"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"BEETLE","year_from":2011,"year_to":2011,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"BEETLE","year_from":2012,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_volkswagen_beetle","2013_volkswagen_beetle","2014_volkswagen_beetle","2015_volkswagen_beetle","2016_volkswagen_beetle","2017_volkswagen_beetle"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"BEETLE CONVERTIBLE","year_from":2012,"year_to":2017,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2012_volkswagen_beetle","2013_volkswagen_beetle","2014_volkswagen_beetle","2015_volkswagen_beetle","2016_volkswagen_beetle","2017_volkswagen_beetle"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"CC","year_from":2010,"year_to":2011,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"CC","year_from":2012,"year_to":2012,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2012_volkswagen_cc"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"CC","year_from":2013,"year_to":2013,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"CC","year_from":2014,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2014_volkswagen_cc","2015_volkswagen_cc","2016_volkswagen_cc","2017_volkswagen_cc"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"EOS","year_from":2010,"year_to":2016,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2010_volkswagen_eos","2011_volkswagen_eos","2012_volkswagen_eos","2013_volkswagen_eos","2014_volkswagen_eos","2015_volkswagen_eos","2016_volkswagen_eos"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"EOS","year_from":2017,"year_to":2017,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"GOLF","year_from":2010,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2010_volkswagen_golf","2011_volkswagen_golf","2012_volkswagen_golf","2013_volkswagen_golf","2014_volkswagen_golf","2015_volkswagen_golf","2016_volkswagen_golf","2017_volkswagen_golf"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"GOLF R","year_from":2014,"year_to":2015,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2014_volkswagen_golf","2015_volkswagen_golf"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"GOLF R","year_from":2016,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2016_volkswagen_golf-r","2017_volkswagen_golf-r"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"GOLF SPORTWAGEN","year_from":2016,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2016_volkswagen_golf-sportwagen","2017_volkswagen_golf-sportwagen"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"GTI","year_from":2010,"year_to":2015,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2010_volkswagen_gti","2011_volkswagen_gti","2012_volkswagen_gti","2013_volkswagen_gti","2014_volkswagen_gti","2015_volkswagen_gti"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"GTI","year_from":2016,"year_to":2017,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"JETTA","year_from":2010,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2010_volkswagen_jetta","2011_volkswagen_jetta","2012_volkswagen_jetta","2013_volkswagen_jetta","2014_volkswagen_jetta","2015_volkswagen_jetta","2016_volkswagen_jetta","2017_volkswagen_jetta"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"PASSAT","year_from":2010,"year_to":2016,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2010_volkswagen_passat","2011_volkswagen_passat","2012_volkswagen_passat","2013_volkswagen_passat","2014_volkswagen_passat","2015_volkswagen_passat","2016_volkswagen_passat"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"ROUTAN","year_from":2010,"year_to":2014,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2010_volkswagen_routan","2011_volkswagen_routan","2012_volkswagen_routan","2013_volkswagen_routan","2014_volkswagen_routan"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"TIGUAN","year_from":2010,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2010_volkswagen_tiguan","2011_volkswagen_tiguan","2012_volkswagen_tiguan","2013_volkswagen_tiguan","2014_volkswagen_tiguan","2015_volkswagen_tiguan","2016_volkswagen_tiguan","2017_volkswagen_tiguan"]},{"make":"VOLKSWAGEN","model":"TOUAREG","year_from":2010,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2010_volkswagen_touareg","2011_volkswagen_touareg","2012_volkswagen_touareg","2013_volkswagen_touareg","2014_volkswagen_touareg","2015_volkswagen_touareg","2016_volkswagen_touareg","2017_volkswagen_touareg"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
