It is recommended the wrap stay in place until vehicle is delivered, but no longer than 6 months past the vehicle build date. Longer time on the vehicle will increase the adhesive residue left on the paint surface. To assist with the wrap removal, vehicle surface temperature no less than -10Å?C (14Å?F) and no more than 50Å?C (122Å?F), with no ice/snow. Begin the removal from an edge and pull the film back upon itself to the middle of the panel, then repeat from the opposite side until the film is completely removed. The steep pull off angle and the speed of wrap removal affects the amount of adhesive residue remaining. Potential paint blemishes will typically disappear within 72 hours of removal of the wrap under normal circumstances.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10119683-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10119683-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10119683","components":[{"id":"equipment","name":"Equipment and accessories","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"FORD","model":"FOCUS","year_from":2016,"year_to":2017,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2016_ford_focus","2017_ford_focus"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
