If the wire harness is touching, relative movements can cause visible damage to the wire harness or the insulation on individual lines of the wire harness. Progressive damage to the wire harness can cause the radiator fan to stop working and an electric shunt circuit to the low-resistance heat guide plate cannot be ruled out. This electric shunt circuit can cause the vehicle to go on fire even a long time after stopping the vehicle.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10117415-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10117415-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10117415","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null},{"id":"engine","name":"Engine","parent":null},{"id":"cooling-system","name":"Cooling system","parent":"engine"},{"id":"radiator","name":"Radiator","parent":"engine"},{"id":"wiring","name":"Wiring and fuses","parent":"electrical"}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"PORSCHE","model":"918 SPYDER","year_from":2015,"year_to":2015,"match":"base","vehicle_ids":["2015_porsche_918"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
