The U-Bolts used to fasten the suspension unit bottom to the axle should be installed so that equal amount of threads above the nuts exists in all positions. If these nuts are not tightened equally, the length of the bolt can be excessive, causing the potential for the top of bolt to come in contact with the bottom of the bump stop bracket on Dodges. Inspect your Dodge for evidence of the top of the U-Bolt hitting the bottom of the bump stop bracket. If contact exist cut off any excessive threads on the U-bolt and inspect frame and cross member for damage.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2013/MC-10116426-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2013/MC-10116426-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10116426","components":[{"id":"suspension","name":"Suspension","parent":null}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"WHEELED COACH","model":"TYPE III","year_from":2010,"year_to":2011,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
