A ceramic sensing element is used in the PM sensor and can be damaged or broken if the sensor is dropped or impact occurs to the head of the sensor. If removal or replacement of the PM sensor is necessary, care should be taken with both the old and new sensors to prevent any damage or additional damage to the sensor.
