With that in mind, Nissan has discovered the OBD II software on 2004-2016, as well as some 2003 and 2017, model year vehicles may not be able to accurately pinpoint if a clog were to develop in the evaporative emission vapor vent tube (located between the fuel tank and vapor canister). Even though the potential for a clog to develop is very rare, Nissan is enhancing the emission warranty coverage for this evaporative emission vapor vent tube to 15 years or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first, if the tube is found to be clogged. All other warranty terms, limitations, and conditions remain unchanged. Please note that a hard-tofill (refueling) condition symptom may indicate a clog in this evaporative emission vapor vent tube.","document":{"url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10109198-9999.pdf","alternate_url":"https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2017/MC-10109198-0001.pdf","confirmed":false},"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10109198","components":[{"id":"electrical","name":"Electrical system","parent":null},{"id":"engine","name":"Engine","parent":null},{"id":"exhaust-emissions","name":"Exhaust and emissions","parent":null},{"id":"fuel-system","name":"Fuel system","parent":null},{"id":"software","name":"Software","parent":"electrical"}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"NISSAN","model":"NISSAN","year_from":null,"year_to":null,"match":null,"vehicle_ids":[]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
