Over time, corrosion under these reinforcement brackets can spread to the fuel tank which can result in a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire. Owners that operate their vehicle in a corrosive environment (e.g., where road salt is used in winter months) or have concerns about their fuel tank are eligible for a repair under this Regional Program.","document":null,"url":"https://open.wenmarpro.com/bulletins/10076298","components":[{"id":"fuel-system","name":"Fuel system","parent":null},{"id":"fuel-tank","name":"Fuel tank","parent":"fuel-system"}],"codes":[],"topics":[],"vehicles":[{"make":"FORD","model":"EDGE","year_from":2009,"year_to":2010,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2009_ford_edge","2010_ford_edge"]},{"make":"LINCOLN","model":"MKX","year_from":2009,"year_to":2010,"match":"exact","vehicle_ids":["2009_lincoln_mkx","2010_lincoln_mkx"]}],"as_of":"2026-10-19","note":"A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it.
