What is wrong

Issue:

Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the rearview camera image to be blocked. Canadian regulations require the rearview image to display while the transmission is in reverse gear.

Safety Risk:

A rearview camera image that doesn't display could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash.

Corrective Actions:

Rivian will notify owners by email. Rivian has released an over-the-air software update to fix this problem. There is no further action required if your vehicle has software release 2026.23.0 or a later release.

RSB-26-26-001-12026-06-04. Service bulletin. Rivian is launching a technical service bulletin for some model year 2022-2024 R1T and R1S vehicles that may be susceptible to water ingress in the front HVAC assembly. This may result in damp or soggy carpets in the front of the vehicle. Upon customer complaint of wet carpet in the front of the vehicle, Rivian will inspect the component and replace any damaged parts, and reseal the case to prevent further water ingress.
RSB-56-23-001-12023-03-02. Service bulletin. Rivian is launching a technical service bulletin for some model year 2022 R1T and R1S vehicles that are equipped with early production versions of the left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) front door fixed glass moldings. In some situations, the molding may become separated from the fixed glass, resulting in excessive wind noise and a perceived quality issue. Upon customer complaint of the molding separating from the fixed glass, or complaint of excessive wind noise from the front glass area, Rivian will perform this bulletin to upgrade the affected components for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
RCA-56-22-005-12022-10-07. Service bulletin. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with improperly secured front door fixed glass moldings. In some cases, the molding may not properly adhere to the body, resulting in wind noise. Rivian will inspect the front door fixed glass moldings on both sides of the vehicle and replace with upgraded components, if necessary. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

A bulletin is the manufacturer's note to its dealers. It is not part of this recall.
